Staff Planner at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transportation.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a staff planner, you will be involved in further developing our staffing planning and work processes together with the operations. You will be part of an expanding section with opportunities for continued development as a staffing planner.

As a staff planner, you will have close contact with the core operations and plan staffing in a quality-assured and efficient manner. The planning will be based on laws, routines, and collective agreements. Initially, you will address short-term vacancies and then build competencies to resolve long-term vacancies while proactively working to achieve set goals. The role also includes vacation planning and training planning, as well as extensive collaboration with our managers throughout the region to staff the operations effectively throughout the year.

In this role, you will work closely with the operations, which means you will be out in the field on a continuous basis for effective collaboration and close dialogue. The planning for this, as well as ongoing operational visits, will be done in agreement with the relevant operational area. Other travel for work may also occur.

We are now looking for a staff planner for an exciting and important role. The position is based in Örebro.

You work well with complex issues and can analyze difficult problems. In this role, it is important to make correct assessments and priorities despite time constraints. In our staffing planning, many things happen at once, which means you need to remain calm and focus on the right things even when stressful and pressuring situations arise. It is important that you have good administrative skills.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Completed upper secondary education or other training combined with work experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant.
• Ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Very good computer skills (experience with administration).

Meritorious are:

• Current experience with personnel and staffing systems
• Experience working with personnel or staffing planning.
• Current knowledge of laws and agreements (labor law, working time regulations, policies, etc.)
• Experience with staffing planning in Heroma
• Experience in staffing planning within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience working within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience working in the public sector
• Experience with Excel
